Michael has been exposed to farming since childhood, as his father owned a farm. During their vacations, he and his siblings would immerse themselves in farm life, gaining valuable hands-on experience. After completing his schooling, it was only natural for Michael to gravitate towards farming, a passion instilled in him from an early age.
In his initial involvement with the farm, he played a crucial role during the banana season, contributing to tasks such as selecting, boxing, and transporting the bananas. Despite eventually finding employment elsewhere, Michael continued to dedicate his time to the family farm, cultivating a diverse range of produce, including squash, citrus fruits, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, and more.
However, Michael’s agricultural pursuits didn’t end there. Driven by a desire to innovate, he consistently experimented with different crops until he concluded that herbs held great market potential. This realization prompted him to approach Massy stores with the proposition of selling packaged herbs.
Michael’s product line now includes a variety of fresh herbs such as basil, thyme, rosemary, tarragon, mint, and more.
