Massy Stores Donates Nearly EC$60,000 to Support Breast Cancer and Diabetes Initiatives in Saint Lucia
Castries, Saint Lucia: Thursday, January 29, 2026, Massy Stores has once again reaffirmed its commitment to community wellness through the presentation of funds raised during its annual Breast Cancer Awareness and Diabetes Campaign Fundraising Drive, held during the months of October and November 2025.
The company announced that this year’s initiative was highly successful, resulting in just under EC$45,000 being donated to the St. Lucia Cancer Society and just under EC$15,000 to the St. Lucia Diabetes and Hypertension Association. The funds will support critical programs focused on education, screening, treatment assistance, and community outreach, directly benefiting individuals and families across the island.
According to Division Head for People and Culture, Nickler Velinor‑Paul, the annual campaign reflects Massy Stores’ ongoing commitment to community health and wellness. “Each year, during the months of October and November, Massy Stores renews its commitment to raising awareness, deepening understanding, and encouraging proactive and preventive care for two chronic illnesses that continue to impact many lives in Saint Lucia”.
The success of the fundraising drive was credited to the collective efforts of Massy Stores team members, supplier partners, supporters, and loyal customers whose generosity and participation made the initiative possible.
Massy Stores emphasized that its role extends beyond providing goods and services, underscoring its responsibility as a corporate citizen to uplift and empower the communities it serves. Initiatives such as the annual Breast Cancer Awareness and Diabetes Campaign demonstrate the power of collective action when businesses, partners, and the wider public work together toward a common goal.
