Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:
This role drives organizational success through financial analysis and reporting, strategic planning, and operational improvement. The Business Analyst will conduct in-depth financial analyses to inform investment decisions and budget development, while also monitoring KPIs and researching market trends to guide strategic planning. They will also focus on enhancing operational efficiency by reviewing internal processes and eliminating waste, ultimately contributing to the organization’s overall financial health and strategic direction.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare presentations for board review to facilitate investment and capital expenditure decisions.
• Assist in the preparation and final presentation of annual budgets, forecasts, strategy reviews, and quarterly/monthly business reviews.
• Collaborate with Finance to analyze P&L and Balance sheet performance against targets, identify gaps or opportunities
• Develop, track, and analyze KPIs/metrics for financial and non-financial objective across departments. Strategic Analysis and Planning:
• Perform global, regional, local and business trend analysis to identify opportunities, synergies, and best practices to facilitate Strategic and Operational decision making.
• Analyze competitive market strategies and industry trends for business strategy implications.
• Provide analytics and prepare proposals to support new business opportunities and create project economics. Operational Efficiency and Improvement:
• Review internal processes for continuous improvement, waste elimination, and expense reduction.
• Review sales, inventory, pricing, and margins to identify anomalies and ensure integrity.

REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science, Finance or a related quantitative discipline.
• Master’s Degree in any of the above would be considered an asset.
• Experience as an Analyst with exposure to strategic planning and business strategy.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
