Final leg of Massy COVID -19 train – Moving through the West Coast from Canaries to Les Etangs
Have you ever visited the village of Bouton……it’s a very quiet, tiny community just about 6 miles from the town of Soufriere. Well two weeks ago as the Massy COVID-19 care package train moved along the west coast delivering packages to schools, this was one of the seven stops made. The Bouton Combined is located in this small, quaint community and serves just about 48 students in total. Nestled at the very end of the long continuous road that takes you into the community, the school welcomes you – the environment is pristine, the air is clean and fresh, with cows and sheep grazing nearby. Did we mention that there are two beautiful beaches not too far away and the views of the Caribbean Sea and Pitons are breathtaking. But we digress, let’s get back to the focus of the Massy Stores COVID-19 train 😊.
Well the train’s first stop was at the Canaries Infant, where the Principal was having an assembly with the little ones when the Massy team showed up. It was fun getting to chat with the kids all of whom were familiar with Massy stores because “my mommy and daddy shop there”.
Then, on to the Canaries Primary where a science lesson was being conducted with a group of grade six students. As the Massy team walked into the Principal’s office with the package of supplies (hand sanitizer, hand wash, non-contact infared thermometer and other cleaning agents) the school’s Janitor followed excitedly, because her sixth sense told her what was in the big Massy bag.
As the packages were delivered from school to school (7 in total) ending at the Les Etangs Combined School just outside of Soufriere, there were expressions of thanks and words of appreciation for Massy Stores.
There you have it, the third and final leg of the Massy COVID-19 Care Package train. As we disembark we can truly say that overall this was a lovely heartwarming experience, which highlighted our company’s special care for community and our service motto “Delighting everyone, everyday, everytime”.
