Assistant Store Manager OPERATIONS DIVISION

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES

  • Supports the Store Manager in the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities in planning, organizing, directing and controlling store activities and operations.
  • Supports the Store Manager in monitoring store quality, cleanliness, stock levels, merchandising, sales growth and profitability.
  • Ensures that accurate records are maintained in tracking margin, in-store use of merchandise, voids, refunds and damaged or spoiled merchandise. 
  • Oversees product rotation procedures, ensuring that they are rigidly observed, and that merchandise is of optimum freshness and quality.
  • Ensures that all merchandise is properly priced and price changes are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Ensures front end (Point Of Sale) price accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintenance of employee compliance with all policies, procedures and work processes.
  • Maintains high standards of employee morale and promotes an atmosphere of cooperation.
  • Monitors and enforces a regular and effective housekeeping and sanitation program throughout the store.
  • Participates in training activities to increase personal skill level, improving overalls store operations and customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, inclusive of Sundays and holidays.

REQUIREMENTS

  • First Degree in Finance or Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years mid-level Supervisory or Management experience
  • Working experience in a retail environment will be an asset
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced, customer serving environment
  • High level of energy, and an entrepreneurial focus
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with people
  • An understanding of finance
